Prague

Prague is not just the capital of the Czech
Republic, but also a focal point of European history and culture. Tourism plays
a key role in Prague. The historic city centre was designated a UNESCO World
Heritage Site in 1992. It contains buildings of outstanding artistic and
historical value, such as Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral.
In the field of music, various exchanges
have been organised between different ensembles over recent years. A major
exhibition on this was shown in Frankfurt to mark the 50th anniversary of the
Prague Spring.
