Thanks to its central location, Frankfurt is an important traffic hub and can be easily reached from all directions. The motorway interchange with the highest volume of traffic, the Frankfurt Interchange, is used by more than 305,000 cars and lorries every day. It connects the federal motorways A3, leading from the west to the south-east, and A5, going from the north to the south.

Car rental/Car sharing: To rent a car or use car sharing in Frankfurt, you can choose from one of the many car hire companies. Both well-known and up-and-coming car rental companies offer their services in Frankfurt. Depending on the required district and location of pick-up, a search engine of your choice will help you find your best pick. Various providers also have an information centre at the central railway station where interested passengers can obtain information in person and book their car straight away.

Park+Ride: There are several Park+Ride stations around the city centre that are mostly free to use. They are located next to a train station, so you can leave your car there and get to the city quickly with public transport.
