Online Application

You can apply for your resident parking permit online via the links below, pay the fees online and print out your resident parking permit at home at the end of the process. This simplified procedure is possible if you meet the conditions of a standard case (see Prerequisites). See below for more information.

If you need to submit additional documents, you can also upload them as a file (scanned) via the application portal. Once your application has been processed, you will receive a payment request by e-mail. As soon as you have paid online, you can download the confirmation with the resident parking permit and print it out at home.

Prerequisites
  • Only one resident parking permit may be issued per person.
  • You have your main residence in an area of Frankfurt where resident parking has been introduced and are also officially registered there with your main residence. Persons with a registered information disclosure block (“Auskunftssperre”) must present a confirmation of the information disclosure block from the issuing authority.
  • You either own a vehicle registered to you in Frankfurt am Main or use the private vehicle (including one with a foreign registration number) of a close family member (e.g. parents, grandparents, children, siblings). In a second instance, you will need a current written declaration from the vehicle owner, which, in addition to the relationship (e.g. son, daughter, grandchild), must also show that the vehicle is permanently used by the resident of the Frankfurt area.
  • For company vehicles: Current confirmation from the employer about private use.
  • If you are permanently using a vehicle registered in Frankfurt am Main that belongs to another owner, you will need current confirmation from the owner.
  • In the case of foreign registration plates, a copy of the vehicle registration certificate must always be submitted.

  • In the case of car-sharing vehicles, proof of use of the vehicles must be presented. Please contact the residents’ parking service hotline above before submitting your application.

Fees

The fee for a resident parking permit is

    - 60 euros for half a year,
    - 120 euros for one year and
    - 240 euros for two years.

For changes to the resident parking permit, for example

    - in the event of a change of vehicle,
    - when moving to another resident parking area, or
    - for replacement due to loss,

a fee of 12 euros will be charged.

Processing time
Your application will be processed as soon as possible. Processing times may vary. Please do not enquire about the status of your application to avoid delaying the process.
