Eskişehir is located between Istanbul and
Ankara in Turkey. Among the Turkish cities it is basically unrivalled in the
way it juxtaposes modern and traditional elements. With almost 70,000 students,
it also has one of the largest universities in the country.
The first delegation trips to Eskişehir
yielded important contacts and good ideas for joint projects. A trinational
youth exchange programme has been set up together with Tel Aviv. Celebrating
the interaction of the different cultures, a youth football tournament is also
held between clubs from each of the three cities every year.
