“Experience Museum” of the Bible House
The history and writings of a small nation in the ancient Orient have been the blueprint for religions, literature, art and culture for over 2,000 years right through to the present. The tradition of the bible combines revolutions such as the invention of the alphabet in the East, the book codex in the South, and printing with movable type in the West. With the unique finds it displays, the “Experience Museum” of the Bible House (Bibelhaus Erlebnis Museum) offers a glimpse at the world behind the texts. The archaeological objects from Israel shed a new light on the fundamental human questions of life and death, power and powerlessness, origin and future.
Media stations and accessible objects such as the replica of a fishing boat from the Sea of Galilee or the printing press bring history to life.
