Service description
Parents, grandparents, children and professionals can call the freephone number 0800 - 2010 111 on weekdays and at weekends for information and advice on services for families and children in Frankfurt:
on weekdays from 8:00 am - 11:00 pm local time, on weekends and public holidays from 10:00 am - 11:00 pm local time.
The experts on the phone also accept notices from the general public about parents who may be overburdened or about apparently neglected children, and they make sure the respective leads are investigated.
THE CHILD AND YOUTH PROTECTION HELPLINE IS FOR:
- Children and young people
- Parents
- Staff of youth welfare institutions, schools, doctors’ surgeries, clinics, police
- all citizens of Frankfurt
THE CHILD AND YOUTH PROTECTION TEAM ADVISES:
- in all matters relating to child protection
- in situations when parents are overburdened and/or ill
- in acute emergency situations
- if there is a suspicion that the welfare of a child is at risk
- in case of violence in a family with children
- in cases requiring further assistance
