Every year, the tree is the landmark of the Frankfurt Christmas Market. With its twinkling lights and decorative bows, it fills the Römerberg with a unique Christmas spirit.

The Frankfurt Christmas tree 2024 is called Florian and is the annual landmark of the Frankfurt Christmas market. The spruce comes from Wiesen in Spessart. It is named after St Florian, the patron saint of the fire brigade. This name was chosen by the employees of Frankfurt's professional fire brigade, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary and has taken on the tree sponsorship this year.

The spruce is about 70 years old and weighs about 3.3 tonnes. The 26 metre tall spruce is decorated with 50,000 LED light points and 600 bows in red, gold and silver.
