Media

  • From picture books to console games, from non-fiction books to help with school-leaving exams: a wide range of media for entertainment and knowledge transfer for children and young people. Children's media in other languages, and magazines, DVD, CD and much more.
  • TeenLounge: The special offer for young people aged 12 and over. Here you will find not only the latest books but also CDs, console games, DVDs, mangas and much more. 
  • Wii U: New games can be played here. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 5 - 7 pm / Wednesday 1 - 3 pm
  • Media for adults and upper school students: Can be found on the first floor in the District Library Bornheim.

Please note: You can have all borrowable media from the Public Library delivered to your local library.

Events

  • Reading adventures and media education for children aged 2, 4 and 6.
  • Reading aloud in many languages: Chinese, English, Polish, Portuguese.
  • Pupil Info: We help you with your homework, research for papers and other school matters.
  • Wii U: New games can be played here. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 5 - 7 pm / Wedndesday 1 - 3 pm
  • Children's groups and school classes: Read aloud, picture book cinema, creative iPÄD activities, discover the library and much more. Appointments by arrangement. Media packages on non-fiction topics.

Technical Service

  • WLAN
  • Internet terminals: Log in with the number of your library card and your password. There is a time limit on use.
  • PC: with word processing and spreadsheet programmes.
  • Copy printer: € 0.10 per page / colour € 0.20.
