Every Tuesday evening from April until October, the streets of Frankfurt belong to the crowd of colourfully dressed inline skaters.

Meeting point:

The tours start and end at the Hafenpark. The meeting point is at 8:30 pm next to the skate park at Mayfarthstraße/Honsellbrücke. By 11 pm the skaters will return.

Information on the event:

The routes are usually between 27 and 34 kilometres long. Different routes are skated every week - to the northern districts of Frankfurt or south to Neu-Isenburg, west towards Höchst or east to Offenbach. The TNS tours are ridden at a brisk pace. Safe riding and braking techniques are expected from all participants, full protective equipment including helmet and reflective hazard lights are recommended. The tours usually take place even in case of bad weather.

TNS LIGHT

On the 1st Tuesday of each month, a "TNS light" tour is ridden; TNS light means a shorter route with less gradients or climbs and a more relaxed pace, suitable for beginners. However, safe braking and riding technique are basic requirements for participation. Wearing a helmet and protectors is recommended.

TNS light tours also start and end at the Hafenpark. After about 15 km there is a break in the Hafenpark, so that skaters can exit after half the tour.

The colourful skate troop is accompanied by police and paramedics as well as around 80 TNS stewards, who will ensure safety and a smooth course of events. On some Tuesdays, more than 3,000 skaters are on the move in Frankfurt's city centre. This weekly skating event, which has been the largest in Germany for years, is made possible by the cooperation of the Frankfurt Sports Office with the police and the Public Order Office of the City of Frankfurt as well as the numerous skater organisers of the Tuesday Night Skaters around organiser Dirk May.
