Frankfurt Is Back on Wheels: Tuesday Night Skaters Kick Off the New Season
The popular Tuesday Night Skater (TNS) season has started again on Tuesday, 1 April at the Harbour Park (“Hafenpark”). The first tour of the season was officially opened at 8.30 pm. Despite the cold temperatures, numerous skaters took part in this kick-off tour, which will then roll through the streets of Frankfurt every Tuesday from April to October.

Information on the event:
The route distances vary between 27 and 34 kilometres and the event usually ends back at the Harbour Park at around 11 pm. Different routes are skated every week – to the northern districts of Frankfurt or south to Neu-Isenburg, west towards Höchst or east to Offenbach. The TNS tours are ridden at a brisk pace. Participation requires basic knowledge of braking and riding technique. Wearing a helmet and protective equipment is recommended. The tours usually take place even in case of bad weather.
TNS Light Tour:
On every first Tuesday of the month, beginners and those returning to cycling can join the TNS Light Tour. The Light Tour is shorter and is ridden at a more leisurely pace. There will also be a break at the harbour park at the beginning and the end, which gives participants the opportunity to take a break during the ride. However, safe braking and riding technique are basic requirements for participation. Wearing a helmet and protectors is recommended.
Meeting point:
The tours start and end at the Harbour Park. The meeting point is at 8:30 pm next to the skate park at Mayfarthstraße/Honsellbrücke.
Safety is a top priority:
The skaters are not only accompanied by the police and medical services, but also by around 80 stewards in safety jackets, who ensure that everything runs safely and smoothly.
Details of the respective tours are announced every Tuesday at t-n-s.deExternal Link. You can also find the ‘TNS traffic rules’, which are binding for all participants, on this website.
The skater tours are organised and run by Dirk May on behalf of the City of Frankfurt.
