Five by two metres F R A N K F U R T
The Frankfurt City Marketing ("Stadtmarketing") and the umbrella organisation of Frankfurt's trade associations present a new illuminated Frankfurt selfie spot in the city.
Since Wednesday, 15 January, Frankfurt has been presenting itself with its own lettering at Paul's Square (“Paulsplatz”).
The idea behind it: To show what Frankfurt is all about. Each letter features the unique characteristics typical of Frankfurt, from Frankfurt green sauce to the financial centre, from diversity to the city's most famous son, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. The most striking feature, however, is the Bembel, which symbolises Frankfurt's national drink, cider, like no other object.
The selfie spot measures five by two metres and is illuminated in the evening. After its premiere at Paul's Square, the selfie spot, curated by the umbrella organisation of Frankfurt’s trade associations, will make stops in the city's districts and enrich squares, landmarks and festivals. Frankfurters, tourists and guests from all over the world are invited to take photos, pictures and impressions and share them on social media.
The project is financed by the Frankfurt City Marketing.
