About us

The Housing Office ("Amt für Wohnungswesen") offers a wide range of help and services on the subject of housing in Frankfurt.

We help you find publicly subsidised flats; we check whether you can get housing benefit; you can use the rent index to calculate what your flat may cost; we advise you on questions of tenancy law, housing defects and much more.

In order to process your request, it may be necessary for us to obtain documents from you that contain personal data. We would like to point out that regular, unencrypted e-mails do not provide a secure transmission channel for personal data. Please bear this in mind when you send us your documents and papers. Secure means of transmission are postal mailing or dropping them off at the Housing Office ("Amt für Wohnungswesen").
