Everyone knows human rights

Children's rights are human rights. The task of the Children's Office (“Kinderbüro”) is to inform children and young people as well as adults about the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child is one of the international human rights treaties and was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1989. Since 5 April 1992, the Convention has been effective in Germany as well. The Convention includes protection, survival and participation rights for people up to the age of 18. The State must make the rights of the child widely known to both adults and children.
