About us

The Frankfurt Children's Office (“Kinderbüro”) introduces itself

We see ourselves as the mouthpiece of Frankfurt's children. As an Office of the City of Frankfurt, we are an important contact point for children, young people and adults. We listen, advise, inform and stand up for children and their rights.

The Frankfurt Children's Office is the municipal children's interest group of the City of Frankfurt am Main. Since its foundation in 1991, the Children's Office has established itself as an important contact point for all questions and problems concerning children's interests and rights. The fundamental concern of the Children's Office is the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. To this end, the Office develops concepts and proposals to improve the living situation and participation of Frankfurt's children, along with projects and campaigns. We also organise exciting events.

Children and adults can contact the Children's Office with all their questions (telephone: 069/212 39001, E-Mail: kinderbuero@stadt-frankfurt.deInternal Link ). Counselling is always free of charge and confidential. Thanks to the cooperation with institutions and counselling centres, we can find solutions together – flexibly and unbureaucratically.

The Children's Office is home to the offices of the Frankfurt Children's Commissioner (“Frankfurter Kinderbeauftragte”) and the Frankfurt Alliance for Families (“Frankfurter Bündnisse für Familien”).
