The monumental structure of the Frankfurt Securities Exchange originates from the 19th century. The interior with its famous parquet floor was modernised in 2007. On the square in front of the exchange the bull and the bear symbolise rising (bull) and falling (bear) markets. 

  • monumental domed Neo-Renaissance building from 1874-79 as representational architecture in the broad classification
  • façade made from yellow sandstone with corner projections and atria in canonical column sequence, decorated with circular architectural sculpture with allegorical content by leading sculptors
  • Side wings replaced with modern structures
