The Frankfurt International Affairs Office supervises and coordinates the international work of the City of Frankfurt am Main. It acts as a central point of contact for the Consular Corps, cultivates international partnerships and runs programmes with an international focus. Its tasks include organising programmes for foreign delegations visiting Frankfurt, as well as planning and running City of Frankfurt delegation trips.

The Office coordinates the City of Frankfurt's participation in European and international city networks. It supports interested institutions and associations, e.g. in the educational, scientific and cultural fields and in the development of international cooperation – mainly within the framework of city partnerships. Furthermore, it is part of the Frankfurt International City-Marketing Group and a founding member of “Frankfurt International Stammtisch” that serves as a networking platform for international expats in the city. Since 1990, frequent citizens' trips run in cooperation with external organisers have provided a special service to those interested in experiencing the partner cities.
