Frankfurt Mourns Death of Elizabeth II
Book of condolence is available at the Römer / In thoughts of partner cities
A collective book of condolence of the City of Frankfurt am Main and the Consulate of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for the late British Queen Elizabeth II will be available in the foyer of the Römer from Friday afternoon, 9 September. Citizens of the city who wish to sign it can do so on all following days from 10 am to 7 pm. The book will be available until Monday, 19 September. The monarch passed away on Thursday, 8 September, at the age of 96.
Queen Elizabeth II visited Frankfurt in 2015 as part of a four-day trip to Germany. During her stay, the programme included a visit to St Paul's Church and a festive dinner in the Römer with 120 guests, including the then Federal President Joachim Gauck, the then Prime Minister of Hesse Volker Bouffier and Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann.
