Vaccination Centre South

The Vaccination Centre South is located in the former building of the Stadtschulamt, Seehofstraße 41, in Sachsenhausen. Parking is available via the access road at Gerbermühlstraße 48.


General Information

The mRNA vaccine from BioNTech as well as the protein-based vaccine from Nuvaxovid (Novavax) are available. You can choose freely between the vaccines for the first and second vaccination until further notice. For pregnant women and persons between the age of 12 and 29, it is still recommended by the STIKO to be vaccinated with the vaccine from BioNTech. As of now inoculations with the vaccine Cominarty Original/ Omicron BA.4/BA5 from BionTech, that has been adapted to the omicron-variant, are available at the vaccination centre. The STIKO recommends this vaccines for persons aged 12 years and older soleley as a booster shot.


COVID-19 booster vaccinations are possible for people aged 12 years and over and can be given after at least six months after the second vaccination according to the STIKO recommendation. For booster vaccination with the vaccine from Nuvaxovid (Novavax), an individual medical consultation and decision on site is necessary due to the STIKO recommendation.  


The STIKO recommends a second booster vaccination for special groups of people. People at health risk can receive the second booster vaccination at the earliest six months after the first booster vaccination.Vaccination with the vaccine that has been adapted to the omicron-variant is also available. 


If you would like to help speed up the process at the vaccination centres, we recommend that you bring the information sheet and the medical history form with the declaration of consent already printed out and completed. As a matter of course, medical staff is still available on site.

Arrival by car:

  • There are numerous parking spaces available.
  • Access via Gerbermühlstraße 48, parking spaces are signposted.

Arrival by public transport:

  • Tram lines 15 and 16, get off at the tram stop Heister-/Seehofstraße
  • Bus line 45, get off at the bus stop Heister-/Siemensstraße
  • S-Bahn, get off at the station Mühlberg or Lokalbahnhof

Vaccination offers for children from the age of 5

The Vaccination Centre South offers vaccination appointments for children from the age of five. The vaccination of 5- to 15-year-olds requires the presence of at least one person with custody.


The Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO) recommends the Covid vaccination for children from the age of 5 to 11 with pre-existing conditions or contact with risk patients. However, every child can be vaccinated at request and after medical consultation.

Vaccination offers for adolescents from the age of 12

The vaccination of 12- to 15-year-olds requires the presence of at least one person with custody.
For 16- and 17-year-olds, a signed consent form with a copy of the custodian's identity card is sufficient.
